Mike graduated in Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham in 1981 and commenced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1986 whilst working as surgical registrar within the specialty. He then went on to graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cambridge in 1993.
After two years of post graduate general medical and surgical training he returned to a further two years of specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was admitted to the Oral Surgery Specialist Register in 1999. Since then he has worked as a Specialist Oral Surgeon and Sedationist in Hospital Service and in Primary Care.
Mike completed his training in Conscious Sedation at the University of Liverpool and in Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology at the University of Sheffield.
He is Senior Post Graduate Tutor, Lecturer and Examiner for the MSc/Diploma programme in Oral Surgery at the University of Central Lancashire.
Mike has been providing sedation services for our patients since 2004.
He is a member of The British Association of Oral Surgeons, and The Dental Sedation Teachers Group.
