Patients usually don’t believe us when we say our dentures are different. Their experience is of inadequate dentures, and they don’t believe that dentures can ever fit properly and be comfortable to wear.
The denture system I use (Ivoclar Vivadent's Biofunctional Prosthetic System – “BPS”) is different from any denture system patients have ever experienced before. BPS dentures are fabricated to a very high specification, made of very strong material and the process followed for their fabrication ensures THEY FIT.
I don’t use any other denture system because in my experience as a Specialist in Prosthodontics, these are the best (Prosthodontics relates to replacement of missing teeth with dental prostheses, which includes dentures). I have been providing dentures using the BPS technique since 1995, and have for many years been Ivoclar Vivadent’s UK teacher for dentists of this technique.

This delightful lady came to me having struggled to keep a lower denture in place for many years. She bitterly regretted loosing the remaining lower teeth some years ago, but had been told by her dentist that there were no options other than a denture. The denture had been really difficult to wear, uncomfortable, loose, annoying and completely destroying her self confidence.
When I saw her the problems were twofold. The current dentures were really inadequate, and not achieving the best that was possible with conventional dentures, and secondly the lower denture was wobbling everywhere because the jaw bone had shrunk so much.
We started out by fabricating some very high specification dentures (Ivoclar Vivadent's Biofunctional Prosthetic System - BPS).
The improvement in appearance, and tooth aesthetics was immediate. By increasing the face height subtly the effect is of turning the clock back ten or so years, only be recreating what has been lost but never restored. Two dental implants in the lower jaw were used to retain a lower denture. Having to cut up apples is now just a memory and an eating apple in public is now a rediscovered joy.
