Eve's Story
Fixed full arch restoration
Many years ago it really was quite normal to go to the dentist, have all your teeth removed and end up with false teeth.
We call them false teeth, and really they are just that: false.
They are not teeth; dentists cannot replace your teeth, but dentists can provide you with an alternative to no teeth, and typically that is the dreaded pink plastic set, in a glass on your bedside table. By the way, it's even worse if they are kept in your mouth over night.
Conventional removable prosthetics (as we call them) certainly have their place. However the vast majority that we see are loose, poorly fitting and with minimal aesthetics (they look like false teeth). I haven't finished: usually the owner cannot eat or talk properly with them, often they are not worn or not a full set and none of this even touches the delicate social issues or lack of confidence.
Wouldn't you at least like to know what options you have to rid yourself of these false teeth?
In the 21st century there are so many options which can eradicate the
above problems.
At Peak Implant Clinic we have many years of experience with the All-on-Four technique, which we first started using in 2002. This is a technique that uses only four implants to support a full lower bridge (we use four to six implants in the upper jaw as the bone is softer) and this solution is often cheaper than you think.
Overleaf a case is illustrated where we replaced an upper denture with a fixed implant-retained bridge.
