After many years of suffering with tooth problems, which had been patched up repeatedly with crowns and then bridges Harry needed an alternative. Operating in business involving meeting clients requires a certain level of confidence, which is rather more difficult if your bridge has just fallen off. This scenario happened when being entertained by important clients and was the impetus for Harry to contact us.
It was apparent that the problems had been ongoing for many years and the failing teeth were badly infected. These teeth had supported dental bridges - but they had to be removed due to the damage. Unfortunately the bone was also compromised due to the disease. It's hard to pinpoint the cause, but certainly teeth that are cut down to support crowns are far more likely to be lost than if they are left untouched. It is always temping to wonder how different Harry's teeth would have been if an implant supported crown had been used initially instead of a bridge.
Due to the extensive damage Harry required reconstruction of the underlying jaw bone, which needs extra time to consolidate and heal. Implants were then placed, and finally a fixed bridge fitted. This has restored Harry's teeth and eating, entertaining and business are no longer hampered by emergency visits to the dentist and the worry of a bridge falling off.
