Second Opinions

Peak Implant Clinic has helped hundreds of patients who have been told by their implant dentist that they are not suitable dental implant candidates for a variety of reasons.

Sadly this is often due to their own dentists ignorance of contemporary techniques, or even worse, dentists wishing to avoid referring a patient away from their practice.

Cutting-edge technologies in implant dentistry such as 3D imaging of your jaw, computer guided implant placement and flapless implant surgery can make implants possible for replacing a single tooth, several teeth, and complete tooth loss. If there is insufficient bone for such an approach then regeneration techniques are used.

Management of patients with medications is common and we have years of experience of placing implants in conjunction with our medical colleagues in the practice.

Dental implants allow for the replacement of missing teeth without damaging healthy adjacent teeth to make bridges. For decades, implant dentists have advocated the preservation of natural tooth structure. Dental professionals agree that teeth enter a downward spiral after being 'restored' by a dental drill for the first time. You can see how dedicated we are to nature, where I have used Sandy's own natural tooth – and no one can tell that she has lost a tooth!

As an experienced implant dentist I regularly see patients attending with conventional crown and bridgework, provided elsewhere, that has failed prematurely. The best studies on crowns and bridges longevity confirm that these restorations have an average life expectancy of 9-10 years. Until about 1990 our choices for tooth replacement were compromised, this is no longer the case.
